Statement from the President of THETIS MRE
Thetis was founded with a mission to create a major federating event to promote the French marine renewable energy sector as a stakeholder within the globalised ocean economy : the goal pursued being to gather annually and on the international basis, industrial and political actors.
To satisfy the sector’s needs, Thetis has imagined and proposed to professional organisations to create the National Conference on Marine Renewable Energy (Assises nationales des Energies Marines Renouvelables).
Two previous editions of the National Conference took place in 2014 and 2015 in collaboration with the regions hosting the event and thus giving it a coherent framework responding to the needs of all stakeholders.
This year, professional associations and regions have recently decided to hold the National Conference on Marine Renewable Energy at other dates that those of our annual event.
Persuaded that the interest of participants of our event lies in this cross-fertilisation between the industrial and the political realms, THETIS MRE team has decided to cancell the 2016 exhibition part which concretely reflects the strategic orientations through presentation of technological and know-how achievements.
The team of Thetis having collaborated at the draft programme of this year’s third edition of National Conference on MRE, invites the exhibitors who have already demonstrated their confidence in us for 2016, to attend it.
